Pamela R. Wilkerson, Senior Director of HUM’s new Center for Women & Children, has assumed leadership of all Women’s Programs. She is pioneering new large comprehensive programs for women and children in Baltimore City. This program is different from many other recovery programs in our region because we can receive women “right off the streets” and they can stay as long as needed to ensure they experience life change; there is no barrier to ability to pay or qualification for a minimum period of sobriety. Helping Up Mission provides help to people experiencing homelessness, poverty, and addiction by meeting their physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs. Pamela’s role includes not only directing programs but external facing partnerships. Previously she served as the Director of Workforce Operations for the Tri-County Council for Southern MD/Southern MD Job Source from 2010-2020 and served as President/CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America (Southern Maryland) from 2004-2009.

Living out the adage “Learn, Earn, Return,” Sky has returned to her beloved city of Baltimore to return the blessings of her education, experience, and skills to HUM, its clients, and the greater community. Sky does her best each day to live out Jesus’s commandment (John 13:34 NIV): “Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” Sky knows that persons experiencing homelessness and addiction will have their dignity restored and find their God-given purpose through a community of love and support at Helping Up Mission.

Pamela R. Wilkerson, Senior Director of HUM’s new Center for Women & Children, has assumed leadership of all Women’s Programs.
