Nonprofit uses opioid restitution funds on bus to help people in active addiction get treatment

Baltimore is fighting the opioid epidemic by lifting up the work of community organizations like Helping Up Mission.

The nonprofit created an outreach bus using opioid restitution funds. The goal is to reach people in active addiction and get them treatment.

Each week, volunteers will distribute food, hygiene items and Narcan to 10 locations around Baltimore City.
