Our Mobile Street Outreach Program offers people a way off the streets… for good!

To reach people where they are, we take hope to the streets of Greater Baltimore through our Street Outreach Program. We build relationships with our most vulnerable neighbors who are living in unimaginable conditions, working to meet their immediate needs by offering them case management and referrals for services, including here at HUM, through:

Access to Overnight Shelter/Programs

Clean clothes

Nutritious meals

Spiritual Recovery Programs

Refreshing showers

At least three days a week, our Street Outreach team is busy reaching out to our homeless neighbors – going into the roughest neighborhoods throughout Greater Baltimore, offering meals and other essentials to build relationships so that they will accept case management and referrals to services, including coming to HUM. This is especially critical because our city’s extreme weather conditions can have a devastating impact on the lives of those experiencing homelessness.

For those who decide to enter our Spiritual Recovery Program, this is just the start of an incredible journey of restoring hope and rebuilding their lives on a firm foundation!

Joseph has known homelessness his whole life.

Having been severely abused as a child, Joseph turned to life on the streets at the tender age of 9, sleeping alone in empty buses and abandoned cars. On the mean streets, drugs became a way of life for Joseph to cope and survive. At his lowest point, Joseph tried to take his own life. But God had a plan for Joseph. And through your support, our Street Outreach team found him. You’ll be amazed at what happened next…
