Hope & Healing in the Midst of Crisis
Intoxication-related deaths are skyrocketing across Greater Baltimore, and the consequences affect us all:
The mortality rate increased sharply for whites, blacks, and Hispanics alike, and for men and women.
The “drug economy” was the driving force behind approximately 85% of local crime, including murder, gang violence, theft, and prostitution.
More than 1,100 people lost their lives to heroin, fentanyl, and other chemicals last year — an increase of 10% from the previous year’s record high.
Additional consequences of the addiction crisis include homelessness, broken families and shattered lives. These will impact Baltimore for generations. Yet even in the midst of so much heartbreak, God is at work — here, at Helping Up Mission.

Every night, nearly 600 men and women who are fighting addiction and homelessness take refuge at Helping Up Mission.
Thanks to friends like you, we offer them hope and healing in Jesus’ name through Christ-centered, scientifically sound recovery programs and services. These resources comprehensively address physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs over a period of at least one year, and include:

- Counseling
