The things that happen at Helping Up Mission every day are amazing. With about 450 men living on our campus nightly, there are always new developments – sometimes not good, but so much of the time very meaningful and helpful.
Unfortunately, I have not kept up with passing all these exciting developments along in my blogs. This is partially due to being very involved in so much of what is happening here. It is also because I have been passing along the events daily through my Twitter and Facebook accounts – all in 140 characters (for Twitter).
But the real reason I have not kept up is because I’m pathetic! While I don’t have a chemical addiction background, I have my own set of issues and struggles. My way of explaining it is that I am a “Dirty Rotten Stinkin’ Sinner!” Saved by grace, on my way to Heaven, learning how to walk in the Spirit one day at a time and excited about all that God is doing in my life – but a DRSS, for sure!
So, I will try to do better…but I also invite you to keep up daily with all the cool stuff that God is doing at HUM by connecting with me on Twitter or Facebook. So, follow PastorGaryByers on Twitter or like Gary A Byers on Facebook and I believe you will be inspired by what you read.
