Manny, Mic and Mo are all in our 12-month residential Spiritual Recovery Program. No, those are not really their names – but they all do start with “M!” After Morning Devotions today, each one blessed me.
M1 came and told me about his children in another state and their mother’s illness. He said he can’t just watch from afar like an innocent bystander – these are his children and he is willing to do whatever he needs to do. That starts with waiting to hear about the job he interviewed for on Friday. He is trusting God to use that to show him the next step. He said to me, “I’m just going to be Honest, Open and Willing to God’s plan!
Then M2 came and prayed for me. Here at HUM he considers me his pastor and, after Monday AM devotions, he’s been stopping me for a special prayer. It is a humbling experience and I am honored by his love.
As I headed back to my office, M3 was out back cleaning up a mess. It wasn’t his job, but he noticed it and just felt he could and should do something about it!
I keep saying I love my job — these are 3 of the reasons why!
