The New and Improved Old Will!

Will’s an old guy who has been here about 5 months. His wife sent him! Well, not exactly – just that she wasn’t going to let him stay at the house any longer.

He  arrived at Helping Up Mission with her blessings. She is very pleased at the difference she sees and wants Will to stay right where he is – even after he goes back to work in a little while.

He’s pretty pleased with all that’s happening in his life, too. But Will doesn’t want to get ahead of himself and just keeps saying, “One day at a time.”

As an older guy who has been around the block a time or two, Will can appreciate all the support and opportunities HUM offers. Conseqeuntly, he is also very willing to give back and help others.

I never cease to be in awe of what can happen in a guy’s life — and his family — when he gets clean and just stops trying to do things his own way. This Jesus stuff really does work!
