Since I’ve been away for a while, we took time in class to find out what’s been going on in guy’s lives the last few weeks. A couple guys shared about family reconnections.
Al’s been here a few months and his head is beginning to clear. He’s made some positive changes in his thinking and has done some refocusing for his life.
So, Al decided to find his wife on the internet. He does and reaches out to her – telling her a little bit about where he is and what he is doing these days. He didn’t know what to expect.
What he got back was pretty positive and he sent her another. It has continued and they are now communicating electronically on a regular basis. He is pretty pleased about it all and got choked up just telling me the story.
I asked him how long its been since they were in communication. He said 11 years! She never divorced him, hasn’t heard from him and was still glad to get a message from him.
Al says his wife is a Christian – she’s a Saint!
