Proverb for the Day 12:25 — Anxious Hearts and Kind Words

An anxious heart weighs a man down, but a kind word cheers him up.

When we allow the cares of the world to get to us, our hearts will get anxious and wear us down. Whether external (people, places and things) or internal (our own hurts, habits and hangups), stuff really has a way of getting to us.

On the other hand, an appropriately good word from someone else can really encourage us and help bring us back to reality. It doesn’t mean that our problems are gone, but we can have a new perspective to help us handle and address the things that cause our anxiety.

May we be able to recognize when our hearts get anxious and deal with the issue. May we also be open to receive a good word from others. And may we be willing to help someone else who is struggling today, too!
