Today Harvey Proved the Bible True!

I arrive at work early every morning to beat the Baltimore beltway rush hour traffic. Upon arrival, I ususally see Harvey outside on the campus doing his job.

H is an older guy who just quietly goes about his business every day. Recovery seems to be working for him and he has a smile on his face almost every time I see him.

This morning, he was on one side of the fence and I was on the other and I just thanked him for his diligent effort day after day. His face lit up and he thanked me.

Harvey said, “I just want to take care of this place like I would my own house!” Then he added, “Sometimes people just don’t realize how much good a compliment does somebody else.”

Then we parted ways, both getting back to work. I think we both felt a little better about things and ourselves after that 90 second talk. Then I came in and read today’s Proverb — 12:25 (http://helpingupmission.blogspot.com/2013/09/proverb-for-day-1225-anxious-hearts-and.html). Sure was glad Harvey and I had that talk!
