Roy’s an old-guy addict who graduated from Helping Up Mission in 2012. Today he lives and works on campus as a graduate intern.
Roy is also in school and completes his course of studies in January. I saw him the other day, as he’s coming down to the wire in finishing all his work.
He is quite focused and a bit tired, but still very excited and upbeat about his life today. Roy had a big smile as we talked and I got encouraged just listening to him!
When he graduates in January, it will be as an executive chef. I wonder if he will wear a graduation cap or a chef’s hat?!?!
Either way, recovery’s sure working for old Roy.
