A Man With A Plan!

I ran into Donald in the hallway this morning. We don’t see each other very often because he’s leaving for work about the same time I’m arriving here every morning.

Thirty-three years old, Donald graduates today. He’s completing our 12-month residential Spiritual Recovery Program.

He arrived at Helping Up Mission with his life out of control. But today he’s a man with a plan!

Donald’s been working at a good job in a reputable local company with a great group of coworkers. He’ll continue there while continuing to live here on campus in our graduate transitional housing.

He’s also ready now to start the process of getting his driver’s license back. There are fines and will be court hearings – so it’ll be a process.

His job is outside the city and that’s also where he’s from. Once he has his license and is able to get a car again, Donald plans to move from here to the area where he works.

I asked him about a good network of support out there for him and he described his network already in place.

It will be a while, but Donald’s getting it done. Isn’t it great when a plan comes together!
